Morning Session

Meeting at a hall in Nambour, we had 10 soul winners divided into 5 groups who went preaching the gospel. There were 5 souls saved that morning.

Those who stayed behind in the hall with the children watched videos on Soul Winning for Beginners to equip them for future opportunities.

Lunch

Everyone was deserving of a well earned rest and light lunch. It is always exciting to exchange stories of the people who were spoken to at the door or on the street.

Afternoon Session

With a slight change of silent partners, 9 individuals continued knocking the doors on their designated maps. There was an additional 3 souls who received Jesus as their saviour in the afternoon.

Church Service & Dinner

We ended the day with a church service which was a great time of rejoicing over the 8 souls saved. It was a time for singing praises, bible reading, and preaching of sermons. Needless to say, dinner was enjoyed by all.

Soul Winning for Beginners | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.

While many churches today are primarily focused with internal activities, the first work which Jesus commissioned and commanded grows largely neglected. In an effort to combat this tide, The Church in Caloundra has set the goal of knocking on the door of every house in the Sunshine Coast with the hope of giving a clear presentation of the gospel of Jesus Christ.

These videos are to equip the beginner with enough tools to confidently present the gospel in any situation.

Take Ye Away the Stone | Jason Parkin

John 11:39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

Jesus commanded that the stone be removed from Lazarus’ tomb to perform the miracle of raising the dead to life. In the same way his saints are commanded to work hard for his kingdom, even if the circumstances appear impossible.

Shew the Lord’s Death (1 Corinthians 11) | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

1 Corinthians 11:26 For as often as ye eat this bread, and drink this cup, ye do shew the Lord’s death till he come.

The Lord’s supper is a simple way for churches to remember the Lord’s death. It is a time for church unity as we partake of the bread and juice representing the broken body and shed blood of Jesus Christ.

The Bound and Free (1 Corinthians 7) | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

1 Corinthians 7:22 For he that is called in the Lord, being a servant, is the Lord’s freeman: likewise also he that is called, being free, is Christ’s servant.

Whichever state you find yourself in whether bound or free, be content! Work the commandments of God as his servant knowing that you’ve been bought by the blood of Jesus Christ.

The Married and Unmarried (1 Corinthians 7) | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

1 Corinthians 7:4 The wife hath not power of her own body, but the husband: and likewise also the husband hath not power of his own body, but the wife.

Marriage is a simple covenant between one man and one woman, but divorce creates undesired complications. Those who are unmarried should use their time working for the kingdom of heaven.

Dissensions and Disputations | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

Acts 15:2 When therefore Paul and Barnabas had no small dissension and disputation with them, they determined that Paul and Barnabas, and certain other of them, should go up to Jerusalem unto the apostles and elders about this question.

There were disputes and divisions among believers in the early church, don’t expect it to be any different today. This sermon contains tips on how to manage and approach doctrinal disputes between Christians.
