Micaiah and The False Prophets | Jason Parkin

1 Kings 22:8 And the king of Israel said unto Jehoshaphat, There is yet one man, Micaiah the son of Imlah, by whom we may inquire of the LORD: but I hate him; for he doth not prophesy good concerning me, but evil. And Jehoshaphat said, Let not the king say so.

Even in the face of 400 false prophets Micaiah stood firm on the truth of God’s word. Likewise, we also must have confidence to stand on God’s word no matter how many others believe a lie.

Cain And Abel (Genesis 4) | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

Genesis 4:8 And Cain talked with Abel his brother: and it came to pass, when they were in the field, that Cain rose up against Abel his brother, and slew him.

Cain’s offering represents a works based gospel and Abel’s offering represents a faith based gospel. Is your faith placed completely on the offering of Jesus Christ?

Men’s Leadership Class – Sermon 4

1 Timothy 3:4-5 One that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity; (For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?)

Having children is not an optional requirement for a Pastor. The family unit is the primary training ground for the man to gain leadership experience.

Thou Art Cursed (Genesis 3) | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

Genesis 3:14 And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life:

The fall of man brought the curse upon the earth requiring the shedding of blood as the covering for sin. Jesus took our curse upon himself, and the curse upon the earth will be lifted when God creates a new heaven and new earth.

Effectual Fervent Prayer | Samuel Osborne

James 5:16 Confess your faults one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.

Great men in the bible were ordinary men, used by God in an extraordinary way. The common denominator is always a close relationship with the Lord. Victory in the Christian life is won not through our own strength, but by moving God through an effective and fervent prayer life.

The Seventh Day (Genesis 2) | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

Genesis 2:2 And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made.

The ultimate purpose of the sabbath day was to serve as an illustration for salvation. Received through faith and by ceasing from works as God rested on the seventh day from his work of creation.

The Lord Our Rock | Matthew Curnow

Psalm 62:2 He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved.

The Lord is our rock, our foundation and our protector. He is the one who saves us from our enemies and also from hell, we have no need to fear.

Rules of Engagement | Jason Parkin

James 3:5 Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth!

As believers we should all seek to have good conversation with one another. The bible provides much wisdom and instruction on how we should use our words wisely.

Gentle unto All Men | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

Fruit of The Spirit – Part 5

2 Timothy 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient,

The absence of gentleness in your character will bring unnecessary strife into your life. King David was able to acknowledge his great achievements in light of the gentleness of God.
