Luke 13:18 Then said he, Unto what is the kingdom of God like? and whereunto shall I resemble it?
Jesus taught that the kingdom of God starts small but reaches its fullness after three phases of development. Have you entered into the kingdom?
Job 2:3 And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? and still he holdeth fast his integrity, although thou movedst me against him, to destroy him without cause.
We are labourers together with God as Jesus Christ continues to build New Life Baptist Church. In 2019 it will be time to test the quality of what has been built: let’s ensure that we are a church of integrity.
Ruth 1:16 And Ruth said, Intreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee: for whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge: thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God:
The Lord commands that his people would show kindness and generosity toward widows and orphans. Ruth is an example of a widow who chose to believe on the God of Israel and was blessed with remarriage.
Romans 10:2 For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
The ICOC is a movement of churches which make their most zealous disciples twofold more the child of hell. Founder Kip McKean and his false church are exposed in this sermon by a former member.
Psalm 51:17 The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit: a broken and a contrite heart, O God, thou wilt not despise.
Unbiblical remarriage and divorce creates a broken home scenario which will add further complexities and challenges in your family life. If you are in this situation today, God can still mightily use you but ensure your children are taught to not repeat the same mistakes.
Luke 11:1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.
Jesus’ example of prayer left a lasting impression on his disciples in that they wanted to pray like him. We can’t expect God to fulfill all our needs if we don’t bring our requests before him.
Isaiah 8:13-14 Sanctify the LORD of hosts himself; and let him be your fear, and let him be your dread. And he shall be for a sanctuary; but for a stone of stumbling and for a rock of offence to both the houses of Israel, for a gin and for a snare to the inhabitants of Jerusalem.
There are many stumbling stones to true biblical salvation that will cause people to trust in their own righteousness. Is Jesus Christ your rock of offence or the rock of your salvation?
