Luke 18:26-27 And they that heard it said, Who then can be saved? And he said, The things which are impossible with men are possible with God.

The 18th chapter of Luke contrasts pride vs humility. God’s mercy is received by coming to God in humility, whether that is for salvation of for having yours prayers answered.
