Great in The Kingdom | Jason Parkin

Matthew 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Jesus says there will be those in the kingdom which are the least and those which are greatest. We should all strive to be amongst those counted as great in the kingdom.

Teach Us To Pray (Luke 11) | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

Luke 11:1 And it came to pass, that, as he was praying in a certain place, when he ceased, one of his disciples said unto him, Lord, teach us to pray, as John also taught his disciples.

Jesus’ example of prayer left a lasting impression on his disciples in that they wanted to pray like him. We can’t expect God to fulfill all our needs if we don’t bring our requests before him.

Yours Is The Kingdom of God (Luke 6) | Pastor Kevin Sepulveda

Luke 6:20 And he lifted up his eyes on his disciples, and said, Blessed be ye poor: for yours is the kingdom of God.

God has given the kingdom to those who are poor, hungry and sorrowing: so long as you are in Christ. The suffering you may experience in this life does not compare to the great rewards attainable in heaven.

Seek the Kingdom First | Pastor Sepulveda

Matthew 6:33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

In the bible there are seemingly contradictory statements made about the kingdom of God. This often leads to bad doctrine such as allocating different kingdoms for different “peoples” of God, or rejecting a physical literal kingdom to come. This sermon clarifies what the kingdom of God is and how to reconcile all bible verses.
